Full Time – 76 Hours per Fortnight

$66.22 - $70.96/hr plus super

Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Unit Manager to join our team on a permanent full-time basis, managing a team of 40 staff in the Cath Lab.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician to provide operational direction for the Cardiac Cath Lab and coordinate the delivery of safe, efficient, and effective evidence-based nursing care.

Established in 2016, Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 340-bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport.
We offer a wide range of specialties, including 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Provide operational direction for the Cardiac Cath Lab to ensure efficient and effective management.
* Coordinate the delivery of safe, efficient, and effective evidence-based nursing care.
* Provide leadership, guidance, mentoring, and support to your nursing team.
* Be accountable for the effective management of human, financial, and material resources.
* Foster a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement.
* Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with VMO partners.
* Ensure the delivery of excellent patient and family-centred care in a team-focused environment.
* Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
* Undertake direct patient care as required.
Essential Criteria:
* Extensive experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting.
* Demonstrated leadership/management experience.
* Ability to communicate effectively to achieve results.
* Strong clinical expertise and passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
* Commitment to enabling a culture of continuous improvement.
* Post-graduate qualification in a relevant field of specialty or working towards.
* Post-graduate qualifications in Leadership and Management (desirable).
