Located at our Port Melbourne Head Office and reporting into the General Manager Shared Services, this role will be responsible for but not limited to:Oversee and manage the financial and management accounting function for LSV including general ledger accounting functions and system maintenance, fixed asset register, bank and other G/L reconciliations, grant balances and acquittal reporting.Oversee and manage all day-to-day finance processes including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and cash management for all business units of LSV.Prepare/review monthly finance reports, supporting line managers to interpret information, making recommendations and assisting in future planning/forecasting.Manage the preparation of key deliverables including the annual budget process, financial strategy, annual reports and performance monitoring.Proactively seek to understand customer requirements to enhance the support provided to the business while identifying potential issues and cost savings and recommendations.Streamline finance outputs through continuous review and improvement of processes.Ensure compliance with all ATO and statutory requirements including preparation and submission of Activity Statements, Fringe Benefits Tax calculations and compliance with all superannuation requirements.Lead, mentor and develop finance team members, providing leadership and direction to create high performing teams who meet and exceed expectations.Preparation for annual external Audit including all reconciliations, preparation of trial balance and other requirements as requested.Liaise with external auditors, address their queries, and prepare Financial Statements for review.Support the Finance Risk and Audit committee preparing and presenting briefing papers as required, including secretarial function.Who are you?You’re an experienced finance leader with over 10 years of experience managing end-to-end financial operations. Holding a tertiary degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting, along with a professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA), you have strong accounting and technology skills, including advanced Excel. You enjoy improving systems and processes to enhance efficiency and are well-versed in ATO statutory returns and all facets of the general ledger, sub ledgers and reporting requirements.You’re a proactive leader, committed to compliance and high performance, with a passion for working in a purpose-driven, community-focused organisation.
