Our team is primarily tertiary qualified Electrical Engineers, with HR supporting a white collar workforce and workload.Reporting to the Executive General Manager, the HR Manager is a generalist role where you are able to utilise your HR experience in a variety of areas including employee relations, performance appraisal, training programs and workforce planning.Our specialized white-collar workforce sees limited Industrial Relations in the role, however we do require exposure to technical environment as ECG's Electrical Engineering workforce, and requirements are highly specialized.ECG has some very technical people.Key functions of the role:Assess and interpret employee contractual terms and conditions including rate and rostersProvide guidance on HR and ER related mattersManage employee records and processesCo ordinate all aspects of HR policy and process improvementsAssess training requirements to apply and monitor training programsSupport end to end recruitment and onboardingMaintain and build ECG's recruitment databaseEnsure legal compliance throughout human resource managementNurture / maintain a positive working environmentAbout youTo be considered for this opportunity you will be able to demonstrate:Ideally Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources or a related fieldAt least 6 years' experience in a generalist HR Advisor capacity, + management experience, preferably with some experience within the mining, resources or manufacturing sectorStrong communication skills (oral and written) and the confidence to work with all business levelsEffective problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills and hands on can-do attitudeAbility to work to deadlines and under pressure with conflicting prioritiesAdvanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word) and experience with HR information systems and toolsAble to work as part of a team and build inter-team effectivenessInitiative, ownership, integrity and confidence.Why Join ECG Engineering?Technically specialized team environmentLeaders in the electrical engineering / resource sector spaceOpportunity to develop the HR function further within the businessGrowing and dynamic organisation; founded in 2015Develop, learn and have fun along the wayECG Engineering offers a generous remuneration package, plus the opportunity to join an engineering firm with a workplace culture second to none.If this sounds like the opportunity for you, apply via link below, or call Mike Wylie on 0417 975 964 for a confidential conversation on the role.You MUST be in Australia to be considered for this role.
