The Friendlies Foundation is the charitable fundraising arm of the Friendly Society Private Hospital that works closely with our community, business leaders and others to raise funds to assist with the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment, build world-class health facilities, expand local hospital services and attract new specialties to our region.
This key role within our Executive Services team provides support services to the Foundation by promoting awareness of the Foundation throughout the community to raise funds, coordinates fundraising activities, champions patient satisfaction programs and also takes an active role in the coordination of our volunteer programs.
Day to day duties for this role will include (but not be limited to):
* Internal and external promotion of the Foundation and the Hospital
* Being the main point of contact and source of knowledge for BFSMI – Foundation sponsorship, donations and fundraising programs and activities
* Production of persuasive high quality promotional and fundraising materials across all forms of media
* Prepare successful grant submissions, proposals and information and reports
* Contribute to the preparation of the annual BRSMI – Foundation sponsorship plan and budget and generate the target annual revenue associated with the plan

Key Selection Criteria
Key Selection Criteria for this position includes:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations or Marketing.
* Previous experience (2 years+) in a public relations or fundraising role preferably for a not-for-profit organisation.
* Sound knowledge of fundraising legislation, practices and philosophy of charitable giving.
* Demonstration of successful major gift program development, planning and management.
* Exceptional presentation, interpersonal and communication skills and ability to liaise with a broad range of socially, culturally and economically diverse internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to manage your own time well to ensure appropriate allocation across core activities (est. split of 50% partnerships/sponsorships, 30% donations, 20% other fundraising)
* Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member.
