Your New Role: Do you have trade qualifications in Plumbing or experience in the water operations industry? Looking to work as part of a dedicated and energetic team? We currently have an amazing opportunity available to join our multi-award-winning organisation as an Operator Water and Sewer Network! Reporting to the Team Leader Water Construction, the Operator Water and Sewer Network will be responsible for delivering on safe, efficient and environmentally conscious water and sewer services for our community. As an Operator, you will work as part of the Water Construction and Maintenance teams to deliver renewals programs and carry out repairs and maintenance of our water supply and sewer network. Key Accountabilities include: Constructing, maintaining and repairing water and sewer infrastructure to relevant WSAA (Water Services Association of Australia) Codes, Auspec 400/500 Series specifications and AS 3500. Participating in a rotating roster for afterhours On-Call duties and/or be available for planned after hours programmes or specific projects. Maintaining relevant administrative records and details including written and electronic capture. Producing Works as Executed information for activities and verification for existing assets for GIS (Geographical Information System) records. About You: To be successful in this role, you should hold trade qualifications in Plumbing, or Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (or nearing completion) and/or a substantive working history within a relevant industry; demonstrated knowledge and commitment to Workplace Health and Safety legislation; physical ability to undertake labouring duties; sound communication, literacy and numeracy skills including the ability to accept, interpret and action verbal and written instructions; and proven ability to use a computer including mobile devices and software applications. Current industry relevant SafeWork or technical certificates including Confined Space Entry, Backflow Prevention, Traffic Controller and/or Implement Traffic Management Plans would be considered an advantage.
