We are seeking a Store Person/ Trade Assistant to join our team at our Gladstone premises. This is a Part Time Permanent position working Monday to Friday at flexible hours that suit you.
The role will report through to the Construction Manager and work closely with Site Supervisors and Leading Hands. In addition to working with a great team, the successful applicants will receive ongoing training in warehousing and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive and dispatch goods as required.
* Coordinate pickup and deliveries to site as required.
* Receive and count stock items, and record current inventories using a computer.
* Assist with loading and unloading containers and delivery vehicles as required.
* Order stock and submit purchase orders.
* Prepare materials and equipment for dispatch.
* Liaise with sites regarding the status of plant/equipment/material requirements, requests and repairs.
* Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas.
* Maintain and repair hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
* A forklift ticket and demonstrated experience safely operating a forklift in a busy warehouse.
* A desire to study or be currently studying Warehousing and logistics at TAFE (or Similar).
* A reliable, hardworking and punctual approach to work.
* A positive attitude towards safety, training & environment.
