Civil Roads Inspectors Wanted in Brisbane & Greater QLD RegionWe are seeking experienced Civil Roads Inspectors interested in joining us for assignments with an initial duration of 1 - 2 years, with the possibility of ongoing extensions and other projects.The purpose of these roles is to inspect the construction of Asphalt roadworks to Transport and Main Roads' (DTMR) quality specifications & standards at IR03 (B07) 'Pre-Qualified' level.Responsibilities:Use comprehensive knowledge of TMR policies, standards, and specifications and be able to read, understand, and interpret technical documents & standards.Prepare written documents including daily diary, submissions/reports & test results.Communicate with the Contractor and/or Contract Administrators, Senior Engineers, or Principal Representatives and keep them informed of progress and quality of works.Provide effective administration, surveillance, and recording of documentation generated during the construction including photos.Mandatory Experience:The person applying for this role must have a minimum of 5 to 10 years' extensive practical experience as a labourer, foreman &/or Supervisor, and at least 1 to 2 years as a Civil Roads Inspector / Surveillance Officer on Civil Roads Infrastructure Construction Projects, working either directly or indirectly for or with the Queensland Department of Transport & Main Roads on DTMR Projects.Experience with policies, procedures & standards of any Australian Road Authority will also be considered.Computer skills in Microsoft Windows operating system, MS Word, MS Excel, file management, and email.Using a phone or tablet to record photographic evidence of site-based work preparation, undertaken or finalized.Demonstrable computer or tablet-based diarising or reporting software skills.Must have a driver's licence and access to own transport to/from home to site & mobile phone.Own laptop will be an advantage.Preference will be given to someone already living in SEQLD &/or willing to relocate there; however, alternatives will be considered.The proposed hours are nominally 40 per week & mainly night shift roster, with potential for more or less hours due to project demands.Sites can be located in Brisbane Suburbs &/or regional locations.Some Saturday, Sunday & shift work may be required.Strictly current Australian Residents only due to client Quality Standard requirements.Civil Services Group is a specialist Civil Project Management and Delivery Company based in Queensland with a strong track record in delivering major projects.We are committed to mentoring and developing staff and providing high standards of HSE and EEO obligations.We welcome expressions of interest from all people with Civil Construction Industry backgrounds and experience.Great opportunity for Civil Roads Inspectors to join a progressive Project Delivery Company and help us deliver QLD Road Projects.#J-18808-Ljbffr
