Trainer and Assessor - Aged Care / Disability / Nursing
National Care Academy is a national organisation specialising in delivering high quality training in the Health and Community Services Sector.
Due to growth and expansion, we are seeking a full-time trainer and assessor, with a nursing background and a commitment to providing a high standard of training and service to our students and clients.
This position is based on the Sunshine Coast, with regional and interstate travel as required.
Responsibilities include:
* Delivery of training programs via a combination of face to face, work-based and online delivery at local, regional and interstate locations.
* Providing tailored support to students.
* Support students completing work placement requirements.
* Delivery of face-to-face training programs as required.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of learning and assessment resources.
* Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement and validation activities.
* Maintain ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Selection Criteria
To be successful you must meet the selection criteria and demonstrate that you hold the following:
Qualifications:
* TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher.
* CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support or similar.
* Be an enrolled or Registered Nurse.
Selection Criteria:
* A minimum of three years current industry experience in the Aged Care and/or Disability sector or similar.
* Current driver’s licence and own vehicle.
* Valid National Police Check or ability to obtain.
* Excellent organisational and presentation skills.
* A minimum of two years teaching experience.
* Superior communication skills with the ability to engage with learners and stakeholders across a range of contexts.
* Exceptional people skills and a service orientated attitude.
* Willingness and ability to travel to regional centres and interstate as required.
