The Role: Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a Psychiatrist to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.
As the Lead Psychiatrist, you will take on clinical leadership responsibilities for both the Mental Health Unit (MHU) and the Sub-Acute Facility (SAF).
In this role, you will conduct culturally sensitive psychiatric assessments and provide treatment interventions, working as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team.
You will oversee the care of patients admitted to the MHU or receiving care at the SAF, ensuring their well-being and progress in a safe, supportive environment.
The Facility: As the Consultant Psychiatrist, you will collaborate closely with the MHU Nurse Management Consultant and the SAF Nurse Management Coordinator, providing strong leadership to both teams.
The MHU is a 12-bed acute inpatient unit that admits both voluntary and involuntary patients under the Mental Health and Related Services Act.
The SAF, located off hospital grounds, is an 8-bed step-up, step-down residential facility.
In your role as Clinical Psychiatric Lead, you will oversee the comprehensive care of patients across both units, ensuring their well-being throughout their stay.
Additionally, there may be opportunities to visit remote Aboriginal communities, expanding the scope of your practice and further enhancing your impact.
