We are seeking a dedicated Curator to assist in developing and delivering innovative exhibitions, workshops and cultural experiences at our Goolugatup Heathcote Gallery. Salary: $75,333 - $87,934 pro-rata p.a. + 11.5% superannuation Employment Type: 4-year contract, Part-Time 0.8FTE Key Responsibilities Collaborate and work independently to develop and deliver contemporary art exhibitions, meetings, seminars, and workshops. Curate cultural events and experiences with creative industry professionals, ensuring a First Nations First approach. Conduct research and develop new cultural programs, including exciting exhibitions. Manage installation budgets and oversee the Installation Coordinator. Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring visitors have access to up-to-date information about Goolugatup Heathcote and its gallery. Coordinate staff rostering for gallery operations and events while serving as the first point of contact for precinct tenants. Handle administrative tasks including cultural space bookings, data entry, art sales, and cash reconciliation. Promote Goolugatup Heathcote Gallery through various channels, including website maintenance and social media. Support the Senior Curator & Creative Lead in delivering a wide range of cultural services and events. What We’re Looking For A tertiary qualification in Arts or equivalent and a Current National Police Clearance. Demonstrated experience in the arts industry, particularly in exhibition installation, curation, and handling artifacts. Proven customer service skills in challenging environments and experience in administrative roles. Strong background in social media and marketing, along with knowledge of grant applications and financial management principles. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively. Why Join Us?
