We are a growing company with a vision to make a difference, and we are looking for Field Ecologists at all levels who are ready to enhance their ecological consulting career working with our NSW ecology team.We seek candidates who have finished their studies and acquired some experience in conducting ecological field work and who are keen to travel and develop their technical skills in recognising vegetation and flora and surveying for specific species. This role is mainly field-based, targeting surveys in spring and summer 2024/2025 in a range of locations in NSW. Permanent roles may be available following this period, by negotiation.About You:We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Field Ecologists (early career, senior and principal level) who meet the following criteria:A degree/post-graduate qualification in environmental science, botany, zoology, or similar.A strong desire to work flexible hours and travel for ecological fieldwork including possible trips of extended duration (one week or greater) in rural or remote regions.Experience in undertaking ecological surveys and a demonstrated passion for flora and/or fauna.Prior experience or knowledge of NSW Plant Community Types will be highly regarded.Experience in developing and maintaining positive relationships with a range of stakeholders including peers, clients, and government agencies.Ability to work in a professional team as well as autonomously.Capability to effectively communicate with team members.Experience in GIS and electronic data capture.Appreciation of the importance of WHS matters.What We Offer:Our people are our number one asset, and we are committed to providing a workplace that supports our team to grow.
