Job Title: Registered Nurse - General Surgical Ward
About the Role:
We are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered Nurses to join our specialised 30-bed General Surgical ward, including colorectal and bariatric patients. Our hospital offers a range of specialties, including cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, ENT surgery, general medicine, general surgery, gynaecology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, plastic & reconstructive surgery, oncology and urology.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading by example, demonstrating professionalism and culture within the ward. They will also be committed to continuous quality improvement, providing quality nursing care, education and customer service, while effectively managing under pressure with competing demands. Additionally, they will work flexibly and facilitate teamwork, providing a supportive culture within the nursing team.
Requirements:
The minimum requirements for this role include:
* Current South Australian DHS Working with Children Clearance
* Demonstrated understanding of National Safety and Quality Service Standards
* Current evidence of vaccinations as required for the role
* Ability to lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and culture of Flinders Private Hospital
* Committed to continuous quality improvement
* Committed to provision of quality nursing care, education and customer service
* Proven communication and interpersonal skills
* Proven ability to effectively manage under pressure with competing demands
* Ability to work flexible hours
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with all Visiting Medical Officers
* Ability to facilitate and enhance teamwork and provide a supportive culture within the nursing team.
