The role:
The Registered Nurse - Community:
1. Consistent with ongoing experience strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals within the defined community practice area.
The expanded Hospital in the Home service is for public and private patients of Southern Tasmania. Providing hospital avoidance interventions and both acute and sub-acute care for adults in the community setting.
The service enables existing services such as Community Rapid Response (ComRRS), Allied Health Rapid Response Team (AHRRT) and Hospital in the Home (HITH) to be integrated under the umbrella of a centralised hub promoting cohesive and seamless interdisciplinary care delivery for the patient in a community setting.
The service operates across multiple sites throughout Southern Tasmania.

Details of Appointment
Multiple permanent, full time and part time shift-worker positions available, working up to 76 hours per fortnight when required, commencing as soon as possible.

2. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary:
$69,835 - $96,428 pro rata per annum + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging
Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
3. Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type.
4. Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum
5. Access to the Grade 4 salary range $90,293 - $96,428 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
6. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
7. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
8. Current Driver’s Licence
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
9. Conviction checks in the following areas:
10. crimes of violence
11. sex related offences
12. serious drug offences
13. crimes involving dishonesty.
14. serious traffic offence
15. Identification check
16. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
