Early Childhood Practitioner - Allied Health 0417The next step in your career starts here…- Career development and professional growth opportunities- Fantastic employee benefits and an inclusive organisational culture- Opportunity to make an impact for children and their families- Ability to work remotely open for negotiationAbout IntereachIntereach is a not-for-profit provider of rural community services, working together with children, families, older people, carers, and people with a disability throughout the Riverina Murray and Murrumbidgee regions of NSW and in the Mallee, Goulburn and Loddon regions of Victoria.Our Vision of Strong Connected Communities is what drives us daily to ensure our local communities are at the heart of everything we do.About the RoleThe Early Childhood Practitioner is responsible for working alongside families with children aged 0 – 9, who have developmental concerns, developmental delay or a diagnosed disability, to provide information and access to early childhood early intervention supports.The Early Childhood Practitioner works with families to; Create a developmental profile for their child using strengths-based approachesIdentify and develop goals/priorities for their child that supports participation and inclusionProvide information to parents/carers about their child's developmentWhere a child meets the developmental delay criteria, navigate NDIS access for longer term funded early intervention supportsBe a part of a small project team developing and delivering community-based, family centred early intervention services to children (under 6 years old) and their families who do not have access to NDIS fundingProvide clinical support to our early childhood teams in the delivery of our Early Supports ProgramThe Early Childhood Practitioner will be a specialist with an Allied Health background and qualification (Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy), providing expertise and experience in early childhood development.
The Early Childhood Practitioner will be aware of and able to guide others in providing supports in line with the ECIA best practice guidelines.Supervision and professional development opportunities will be available for the successful incumbent.This is a full time role (part time considered) with a fixed term of 12 months and can be based in either our Echuca, Bendigo or Gisborne offices, or alternatively the ability to work remotely is open for negotiation.New graduates are encouraged to apply.
