Nutanix (NTNX) is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Senior Systems Engineer (SE) who will act as a trusted advisor to our customer’s beginning as a presales activity while aiding the customer’s transformational journey through the adoption of our solutions portfolio. Your primary responsibility is to partner with the sales team and provide technical knowledge around Nutanix solutions to our customers and prospects. You’ll provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and guide prospects through technical evaluations (POCs) which are critical to the deal's success. Additionally, you will work with various teams to resolve customer concerns, escalate product issues, and serve as an ambassador for our brand.

Your Role
Our Systems Engineering & Solution Sales organization is made up of 800+ customer-focused technical sales professionals who are responsible for identifying and matching technology opportunities with the customer’s business issues and objectives, as well as channel partner training and enablement. This team also acts in a consultative fashion and is looked to as an expert in their field by the Nutanix sales, customer success, business partners, and customers.
Responsibilities
1. Engage as part of a sales team to achieve or exceed revenue targets
2. Drive sales with technical expertise, account management skills, sales ability, and exceptional customer focus
3. Present Nutanix Solutions value proposition to customers and partners
4. Participate in the consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation as it applies to the technical sales process.
5. Install, support, and maintain Nutanix solutions at the pre-sales PoC deployments
6. Build long-term business relationships and become a trusted advisor within each account to identify opportunities and sell Nutanix Solutions
7. Ability to leverage and maximize reseller/alliance partner relationships to increase sales performance
8. Create and deliver technical product presentations and/or training sessions to channel partners and customers remotely or at customer locations/Nutanix facilities

9. Thorough understanding of one or more of the following areas:

12. Networking, Storage, and Platform Performance/Sizing.
13. Ability to motivate, train and conduct seminars within CSA partners to increase Nutanix revenues within assigned territory
14. Ability to maintain relationships with technical resources at all levels of a customer organization
15. Thorough understanding of technical sales techniques and processes including the ability to understand customer needs, overcome objections, assist in the development of business cases, and technically close deals
16. Flexible, dependable, self-starter, and capable of quickly learning new products and technologies
17. Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills
18. Ability to travel within assigned territory and other locations including Corporate HQ
19. High level of specialized sales and product solution knowledge
What You Will Bring
20. 10-12 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role as a Presales Engineer
21. Hands-on technical aptitude, and the agility to adapt according to market demands.
22. Team player with cross-functional collaboration experience.
23. Analytical approach to solving complex problems, with the ability to clearly describe the situation and suggest a solution strategy.
24. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills in English.
