About the role
Columba Catholic College, Charters Towers is seeking an experienced and dedicated School Officer - Administration. Thispositionwill bea casual role providing relief to the administration team as required and would be available as soon as practicable.
The role of School Officer – Administration is responsible for providing high level administrative support demonstrating a high level of self-initiative, flexibility, attention to detail, autonomy and dependability. The School Officer – Administration will be required to liaise with visitors, parents, staff and students to the College. The incumbent will present a professional image and create a welcoming, warm and positive impression. As the initial point of contact for many key stakeholders, the School Officer - Administration will deliver high quality customer service.

1. Previous experience providing generalist administrative support
2. Demonstrated capacity to organise and prioritise a range of tasks and set priorities to meet deadlines in a busy office environment
3. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver support
4. Proven ability in providing accurate and informative assistance to staff, students and parents confidently.
Mandatory Criteria
5. Current Working with Children Suitability Card - The successful candidate will require a paid Blue Card before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government
6. Minimum certificate level or higher qualification or equivalent relevant experience
7. Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
8. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
9. First Aid certificate or the ability to attain one.
Desirable Criteria
10. Recent administration and/or reception experience in a school or other environment.
