This role reports to the Production Engineering Manager Where is the position located? This is a full-time role based in Welshpool Responsible for developing sustainable, competitive, safe, ergonomic & environmentally correct manufacturing systems that contribute to the overall achievement of business goals and objectives. What will your typical day look like? - Collaborate with production to develop plans that improve production and meet budget objectives. - Design and develop tooling to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and repeatability. - Apply continuous improvement methods to enhance safety, reliability, quality, or labor reduction. - Diagnose problems in the production line and provide recommendations and training to eliminate deficiencies. - Evaluate production flow and facility usage and implement solutions to improve production efficiencies. - Analysing all facets of production and making recommendations for improvement. - Provide guidance on process approval, project management planning and implementation of capital investment projects. - Occasional domestic and international travel outside ordinary business hours may be required. - Ability to lead and function in a team environment, while effectively communicating across various levels of the organization. - Demonstrable application of LEAN methodologies within a production environment is desirable. - Keeping abreast of advancements in engineering and production and sharing updates with co-workers.
