The Company
Our client is a thriving non-profit organisation with an annual turnover of approximately $80 million. They are seeking a talented and dedicated Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role will initially be on an initial 5 months temporary contract, to provide support during a busy year-end and audit season. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical accounting expertise and a passion for contributing to the impactful work of a leading non-profit organisation.

5-month temporary position with a view to extend. Ideally you are immediately available.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
1. Balance Sheet Reconciliations
2. Financial Reporting
3. Prepayments
4. Provisions
5. Accruals
6. Posting journals
7. P&L review
8. Assisting with Audits
9. Assisting with BAS and Tax Compliance
10. Assisting with Other Core Financial Accounting Tasks
About you
11. Bachelor of Accounting/Commerce or equivalent
12. Prior experience in a similar role is essential
13. Ideally you are CA or CPA Qualified
14. Strong skillset in reconciliations
15. Intermediate Excel skills.
16. A willingness to "roll up the sleeves" and do whatever is required to support the effective running of the Finance Department.
17. Strong attention to detail.
18. A good understanding of financial accounting principles.
