Our client is a nationwide manufacturer of paints and coatings with a large facility in the inner west of Melbourne.
About the role:
This maintenance electrician is expected to be onsite Monday-Friday on a permanent salary basis. The hours are 6:30am-3pm, with no overtime expected.
This position is responsible for daily maintenance of the electrical control systems on site, completing scheduled tasks generated by the CMMS and of engineering-based compliance activities. Working within a team of 2 fitters you will be easily able to integrate into this team environment and work towards reaching maintenance goals.
Responsibilities
* Maintain Electrical Plant Control Systems
* Performing Preventative Maintenance of electrical control systems in the plant
* Stores and parts management
* Reduction of control system associated machine downtime through
* The creation and completion of work orders on a timely basis
* Nil non-conformances on engineering-based compliance tasks
* Carry out work described by the Engineering Manager
Must-have skills and experience:
* A Grade trade qualified electrician
* Experience in Manufacturing industry and performing maintenance and /or preventative maintenance on filling, packaging and mixing machinery
* Strong planning skills.
* Computer literate in MS Office programs including Word & Excel, spreadsheets and databases.
Nice-to-have skills and experience:
* PLC knowledge (preferable).
* Qualification in hazardous area electrical work (EEHA Licence)-Need to be willing to complete course when they start for this ticket
