About the Opportunity
The Australian Ocean Data Network (AODN) is seeking an experienced Senior Web Developer or UI Web Developer to support the technical development of geospatial and web-based applications and services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical expertise in system design, guiding the team in the development and implementation of new data-driven systems.
* Design and implement modern, user-friendly web applications to enhance AODN's data visualization and delivery capabilities.
* Collaborate with the team to support and maintain existing systems, ensuring high-quality UI/UX and staying updated with emerging technologies.
Requirements:
* Senior Web Developer: Specific and detailed understanding of modern web application technologies, including design of REST APIs and extensive programming skills in Java or Python or web technologies within agile software development teams.
* UI Web Developer: Knowledge of web accessibility standards, search engine optimisation and application tracking analytics, experience in the SCRUM framework for agile project delivery.
