Leading energy services company Perth based role Competitive salary package Asset Manager – Power Generation: Phillip Riley is working with a major energy supplier within WA who is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join their power generation team in Perth, WA.
Role: Provide stewardship and leadership to optimise the performance and reliability of both traditional thermal power station assets (diesel and gas reciprocating engines and balance of plant) and inverter-based technologies (including batteries within both the power station and on the network, solar farms and wind farms) providing continuous improvement of the generation portfolio of assets to deliver safe, reliable and quality power supply, which forms a foundational pillar of our future energy systems.
Provide asset management leadership through strategic and operational support across the whole life cycle for both traditional thermal power station assets and new inverter-based systems including providing a centre of excellence and management of all performance related matters at an asset and whole of generation portfolio system level Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of the companies Asset Management Plan in accordance with the corporate Asset Management Strategies and Frameworks for all generation portfolio assets (including both traditional diesel and gas reciprocating engines and balance of plant and inverter-based assets including, batteries, solar farms and wind farms) Strategically manage the operational and engineering support of both traditional diesel and gas reciprocating engines and balance of plant and inverter-based assets to an effective and efficient operating regime that delivers reliability and safety whilst providing economic benefits and staying within approved budgets Lead the identification of and management of risks in respect to the generation portfolio of assets Develop and maintain clear and concise operating protocols and procedures for the generation portfolio of assets which support basic, intermediate and advanced operational activities Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external service providers for the delivery of maintenance, fault and failure response and approved capital works projects and programs Develop and maintain cost effective Service Agreements and Contracts with external service providers, OEM's and their agents Develop, issue and monitor work packages in accordance with the works delivery processes Lead complex engineering investigations and assess and recommend remedial action/or modifications to both traditional diesel and gas reciprocating engines and balance of plant and Asset Manager – Generation Inverter Technology 3 PROTECTED inverter-based assets and operations/maintenance procedures Develop and implement strategies to prevent failures and minimise downtime including developing system critical spares requirements and inventories Provide recommendations for lessons learnt and improvements to operations, engineering and project teams Provide technical engineering expertise and guidance throughout the asset lifecycle Liaise with manufacturers, contractors and suppliers on technical aspects Staying up to date with latest industry developments and trends Experience: A proven track record in leadership positions Significant experience in asset management of inverter-based assets Significant and demonstrable experience leading teams responsible for generation assets including both traditional diesel and gas reciprocating engines and balance of plant and inverter-based assets and technologies including batteries (both power station and network), solar farms and wind farms across the whole asset life cycle.
