Define the roadmap for Austrade’s transition to Cloud and provide technical oversight and leadership from inception to delivery. Identify key challenges for Austrade’s cloud migration and provide optimal solutions.Work closely with Enterprise Architecture peers to analyse business strategy, trends and change to derive the future state technology architecture for Austrade. This includes defining the requirements, principles and models that guide technology decisions for the enterprise.Maintain in-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies and provide specialist advice to Austrade leadership.Key duties and responsibilitiesDuties include:The Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for:Defining the Austrade infrastructure strategy and roadmap, in particular its cloud migration plans away from on-premises data centres.Defining a cloud-based backup and disaster recovery roadmap for Austrade.Advising on the transition of legacy corporate systems to the cloudMaintain the enterprise infrastructure reference architecture on a periodic basis.Develop and maintain Infrastructure security architecture artifacts (e.g., models, templates, standards and procedures) that can be used to leverage security capabilities in projects and operations.Prepare specifications for procurement of IT infrastructure products and services and contribute to evaluation of market.Collaborate with the solutions and application architects to address IT infrastructure concerns during the development of information systems.Ensure that solution architectures are fit-for-purpose, scalable and secure.Coordinate with and advise projects to ensure strategic alignment with the infrastructure roadmap.Technical skillsMicrosoft Azure, including the Azure Well-Architected Framework. Microsoft IaaS \ PaaS \ SaaS technologies: Azure Entra ID Exchange Online SharePoint Online System Center Suite Security technologies, including Microsoft Sentinel and Defender Enterprise backup and disaster recovery platformsCriteriaThe buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a one page pitch to address all criteria specified.
