Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a Senior Drill and Blast Engineer to join our operation in Savage River.

Roster: 5 days on 2 days off, 4 days on 3 days off Day to day In this role you will be responsible for: Grow and lead the Drill & Blast (D&B) team (engineers and blast crew), providing industry best practice D&B consulting services for operational and growth projects, including potential underground projects.
Mentor mine planning staff and ensure succession planning.
Standardise site D&B processes to achieve efficiencies within agreed timeframes, providing technical consulting and peer review to business planning and project teams.
Utilise your experience and industry network to recruit talent and connect with industry experts to facilitate upskilling of team members.
Who you are To be successful in this role you have: Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the key responsibility areas outlined above Experience in an open cut mining environment A self-motivated person who enjoys leading and working with an agile and focussed team.
Experience with Electronic detonators, Pre-splitting, Trim and Wall control, blast design software and Surpac, would be well-regarded Excellent verbal and written communication to establish and maintain effective communication channels.

Based in northwest Tasmania, we own and operate Australia's largest integrated iron ore mining and pellet production business.
Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contracting process.

The Savage River worksite is only an hour and half drive away from the vibrant coastal towns of north-west Tasmania, which offers a fantastic regional lifestyle and is only an hour's flight from Melbourne with regular services from airports at Burnie, Devonport and Launceston.
