Key Role and Responsibilities
This senior position reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and serves as a vital member of the commercial leadership team. The primary objectives include:
* Continued revenue, gross margin, and customer channel growth for the Local Government market across the majority of our core products and service offerings.
* Maintenance of major customer relationships, expansion of customer/membership base, and active contribution to the successful development of the Local Government sector for the business.
The position plays a pivotal role in sales strategy and future growth of the organisation.
Essential Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background within the Local Government sector, demonstrating expertise in negotiation and value creation. They should be able to showcase their ability to deliver growth from key customers within Local Government.
* Exposure to Local Government markets is essential; candidates may have experience working within the Local Government space.
* Strong commercial experience operating in multi-sector sales or operational environments within the Local Government sector, preferably at a national level.
* Demonstrated success in business development and customer channel growth.
* An experienced senior sales and/or business development professional with a solid understanding of account management, sales administration, and business pitch/tender processes.
Prior demonstrated experience effectively managing people located in geographic regions is highly desirable.
