Palm Lake Resorts are hiring a Full-time experienced Waste Truck Driver to join the Grounds team to provide efficient, safe, and effective garbage truck operations across our seven (7) resorts along the South East Coast of Qld.This role also incorporates grounds maintenance within Bethania Resort (South Brisbane) where you will be based out of.You will be on hand to assist with lawn and garden care and general maintenance on a Monday to Friday 38-hour work week.You will work in a team and independently.Primary Duties of the Position: Complete mobile waste bin runs on a day-to-day basis according to specified routes throughout Palm Lake 7 Resorts; Ensure that waste materials are securely loaded onto the truck and properly covered; Ensure that any waste that spills during collection is picked up; Ensure garbage truck is kept up to date with maintenance checks and services, and is in good running order; Perform daily cleaning and maintenance work on the garbage truck and ensure daily inspections are undertaken; Report maintenance or repair needs promptly and logbook entries; Perform weeding and watering common areas, hedge trimming, mowing & whipper snipping; Assist with plant regeneration, maintaining flowers and shrubs, sprinkler and drip line maintenance; General maintenance of the resort facilities and equipment including synthetic grass bowling greens; Pool Maintenance, including chemical testing and cleaning; Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize accidents and injuries; Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required; Provide a high level of customer service when dealing with general inquiries and complaints from both internal and external stakeholders; Any other duties as directed by the manager. The successful candidate will possess: Current MR Class driver's license is essential; Have a good running waste truck operations history; A pleasant manner, and present a neat and tidy appearance; Possess the physical ability to undertake the requirements of the role, including bending, heavy lifting, and carrying (within WH&S limitations), manual laboring; Motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work with limited supervision; Preparedness to be flexible On-call within hours as required.
