Location: Broken Hill Remuneration - Attractive renumeration. Full time permanent position Aurizon has an exciting opportunity for a Driver Trainer, based in Broken Hill. About the role: Supported by an experienced team Develop a supportive relationship with train drivers and support the training program objectives. Instruct and coach employees in train management competencies, procedures, and route competencies to high standards. Deliver and maintain training and assessment plans, required reports, learning documents, logbooks, and check sheets. Perform fair assessments of employees to high safety standards whilst utilising a range of upskilling methods to ensure competencies are maintained. Perform administrative duties including maintenance of required files and training records. Plan and organise competency and learning programmes to meet operational requirements. Monitor trainees' progress and provide feedback on their progress. About you: You are a natural teacher who has an encouraging and calm approach. You will be a self-starter who, possesses the ability to give constructive advice and enjoys seeing employees learn and grow. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Mandatory) Certificate IV in Locomotive Driving or equivalent (Mandatory) NSW Safeworking System qualifications (Preferred) Hold a valid 'C' class driver's license (Mandatory) Hold the relevant accreditation/competence in the content being delivered (Mandatory) High level of skills in processing, retaining, and applying knowledge pertaining to safety and business deliverables High level of skill in providing clear and succinct information verbally and in writing High level of interpersonal skills to foster highly effective internal/external relationships. Sound level of skill in providing quality customer service and ability to work in teams to achieve goals. Successful candidates will need to provide evidence of the units of competence successfully attained for Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and Certificate IV in Locomotive Driving or equivalent.
