An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Speech Pathologist - Senior to join the Community Child Youth and Family Health Team at the Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.
Your opportunity:
* Provide effective and efficient paediatric Speech Language Pathologist service, assessment, stabilizing and transition therapy and referral as a part of a multidisciplinary team within Child Development Service, working with other health professionals, medical staff and parents. The team includes paediatric physiotherapist and speech language pathologist direct clinical case load.
* This health professional supports individually tailored responses to a child and family situation that often requires a high level of expertise.
Temporary Full Time (76 hours p.f.) from date of appointment for up to 6 months with the possibility of extension and for other periods of leave relief as negotiated with the line manager until February 2026.
Our offer:
You will receive a competitive salary between $4,912.70 - $5,286.40 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Temporary Full Time, 76 hours p.f., from date of appointment for up to 6 months with the possibility of extension and for other periods of leave relief as negotiated with the line manager until February 2026).
