About you: In your new role you will… Demonstrate high level of communication, both written and verbal, negotiation and interpersonal skills in the management and support of a multidisciplinary environment.
Demonstrate knowledge of or the ability to rapidly acquire a sound knowledge of the legislation, policies and procedures in respect of recruitment of Herberton Hospital Staff.
Demonstrate ability to manage and organise the day-to-day functioning, procedures and practices relating to the administration of the DON.
Demonstrate ability to supervise and manage staff in line with quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behaviour.
About your opportunity: In this position you will provide secretarial and administrative support whilst maintaining confidentiality to the Director of Nursing (DON).
Assist with the management and recruitment and financial reporting About your role: Coordinate the recruitment and appointment process for all positions line managed by the Herberton Hospital DON, including liaison with internal/external departments/organisations and with Queensland Health Recruitment, Assessment, Placement, Training and Support program.
Process commencement paperwork for new staff to enable access to computer systems, buildings, and work units etc.
Work both autonomously and as a member of a team, ability to cope in a high-volume environment, ability to prioritise, consistently meet deadlines and adapt to change using initiative, organisation and planning, time management and problem-solving skills.
Foster team spirit and build and maintain cooperative relationships and can adapt to change, contribute to quality improvement activities, and participate in a multidisciplinary work environment to deliver effective customer services.
