Your new role
This is a permanent full-time position in Melbourne. This role will be a key position within the Survey Discipline and responsible for managing and growing Woolpert’s cadastral presence in Melbourne.
You will be engaging with our external and internal clients, lead tender responses and deliver projects. Your key responsibilities and skill set will include:
1. Proven expertise in knowing land tenure and the land development process;
2. Develop new business based on existing contacts in addition to proactive and reactive lead and opportunity nurturing;
3. Contribute to Woolpert’s overall business plan for Asia Pacific, including development of a cadastral business plan for the Survey Discipline;
4. Work with Project Managers to identify, address and resolve project issues impacting on client goals, objectives and/or client satisfaction;
5. Collaborate with Woolpert Mapping and Digital Solution Disciplines to identify cross selling opportunities; and
6. Develop and guide junior surveyors in land surveying techniques and relevant legislation.
You may also be required, within your skills, qualifications, and experience, to undertake other responsibilities and perform other duties or projects from time to time as the Company may require meeting its operating needs.

About you
You are a Licensed Surveyor, passionate about designing innovative solutions that deliver value for clients and Woolpert. You are a creative thinker with curiosity that enables continuous learning, drawing on Woolpert’s suite of offerings and contribute to the growth and advancement of the Survey Discipline.
15. Experience in Cadastral Surveying plus, preferably, at least one of the following areas: BIM/modelling & Feature Extraction, Laser Scanning, Construction Surveying, Hydrographic and Bathymetric Surveying;
16. Knowledge of relevant leading-edge technologies, trends, and data;
17. Strong commercial acumen including negotiation and selling skills;
18. A passion for spatial solutions and technology and a strong commitment to personal excellence, with demonstrated self-motivation and resourcefulness.
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this role you will have prior experience in a similar role together with:
19. Licensed Surveyor certification endorsed by the Surveyor’s Registration Board of Victoria;
20. 10+ years technical experience in the Survey/Geospatial industry;
21. 5+ years management experience in the Survey/Geospatial industry;
22. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and clients.
23. Strong networking profile and recognition within the Australian Survey/Geospatial industry, with involvement or desire to participate in appropriate committees & forums.
24. Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines;
25. Post graduate Business and/or Project Management qualifications will be highly regarded
