Ward Clerk – Day Surgery
This position is a two day per week position, currently Monday and Tuesday. The Clerk is responsible for completing the day-to-day administrative duties within the Day Surgery Unit. You will be working closely with the Perioperative Services Nurse Unit Manager, Department ANUM's or Floor Coordinator, Nursing and Medical staff and patients to ensure a smooth and seamless process for people having elective surgery at West Gippsland Healthcare Group.
There may also be the opportunity for additional training to provide Ward Clerk relief within the Operating Suites.
We are seeking a motivated, experienced, skilled and enthusiastic person with the following knowledge and skills to join the team:
Excellent organisational and time management skills. Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Strong customer service approach. Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to operate as part of a team or independently where required. Ability to problem solve under pressure. IPM & FMIS knowledge highly desirable. If this is you, then we welcome your application!
