About the Team
Our Operations team works with a diverse customer base to support several nationally significant supply chains. With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger and general freight, including steel and a vast array of consumer items such as groceries, electrical goods and other items for both import and export markets.
The Operations teams work within several complex and challenging environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery outcomes for its customers, stakeholders and the community.
About the Opportunity
Deliver work allocated by the Work Group Leader (Signals) or Area Manager to ensure the operational integrity and efficiency of a designated section of rail corridor.
* Install, modify, maintain and repair signalling and communication equipment, in accordance with technical maintenance plans, signalling discipline standards, practices and safeworking procedures.
* Examine and test signalling equipment in accordance with signalling standards, diagnose and isolate faults, and ensure that appropriate certificates are submitted
What do we want from you?
* Qualified Electrician.
* Relevant trade or technical experience.
* Knowledge of or an awareness of Work, Health and Safety principles and relevant rail safety legislation.
* Experience in field faultfinding, maintenance and repairs.
* Written and oral communication skills.
* Use initiative to work independently and in a team environment.
* Ability to apply quality systems including policies and procedures.
* Current Class C driver’s licence.
Desirable
* Qualified Railway Signal Electrician.
* Protection Officer Level 1 & 2.
* ARTC Statement of Competency (Signals) or demonstrated ability to attain as per Signals Competency Assessment (EST-20-03.
