About the RoleOne Rail Australia is seeking an experienced Locomotive Maintenance Supervisor to join the New South Wales Maintenance team and support the growing maintenance operation in New South Wales.
The Locomotive Maintenance Supervisor will play a key role in guaranteeing the ongoing operations of ORA's Locomotive fleet in the Hunter region and become part of One Rail Australia's rapidly presence in Hunter Valley.Key Responsibilities:Ensure all costs are managed within budget and all components tracked correctly.Ensure all planned service work is managed in line with defined maintenance schedules and within allocated budget hours.Ensure maximum asset reliability through implementation of reliability initiatives to reduce rollingstock failures.Be available on-call and attend call outs as required to support infield maintenance activities.Participate in derailment recovery and incident investigations.Liaise directly with operations and or other customers on rollingstock availability when required.Supervise unplanned work on wagons or locomotives associated with failures and preventative maintenance.Supervise other tasks as required including, facilities maintenance, fueling, sanding, rollingstock washing and provisioning.Undertake, adhere to, and manage isolation / safety lockout procedures.Lead, mentor and coach team members to further their understanding of context, purpose and expectations.Supervise Locomotive maintenance, overhaul and capital works to ensure good order and maximise life.Contribute to the accurate planning of work, inventory management, reporting and updating of information of the CMMS (AMS).Work collaboratively with the Wagon Maintenance Team members.Work collaboratively with the Terminal Supervisor to ensure Locomotives are available for moving rollingstock as required.About YouWe are seeking a motivated, team orientated and safety conscious Locomotive Maintenance Supervisor, who is looking to take the next step in their career.
You will have similar working experience, have the ability to manage time effectively and have a high level of quality in output of work.Essential QualificationsTrade or Tertiary Qualified with demonstrated substantial supervisory experience in similar role.Experience in heavy industry.Motor Vehicle Licence (Class C)5 + years' experience in rollingstock maintenance.DesirableDemonstrated success in rollingstock maintenance management.Experience in incident investigation, ICAM desirable.Use of computerised maintenance management systems.
