The role plays a key role in ensuring that our patients receive the right care, at the right time, by the right person. The AHCNS works very closely with the medical staff and has a key role in the medical handover.The position supports nursing and medical staff, reviews all patients discharged from Intensive care, and any patient identified as at risk of deterioration. The role responds to and takes a lead role with the senior medical staff in all clinical emergency calls.You will be an experienced registered nurse, clinically competent, with a broad range of clinical competence. You are able to recognise the deteriorating patients, implement interventions and appropriately escalate in a timely manner.
