Boilermaker George Fisher Mine – Fixed Plant Maintenance and Ops Ref. No. 30515 The Role We have an opportunity that exists for an experienced Boilermaker to join the Fixed Underground Assets team at George Fisher Mine in Mount Isa. Reporting to the Underground Fixed Assets Supervisor, you will be required to carry out scheduled maintenance tasks, fabrication and project work, troubleshooting, as well as breakdown repairs. This position is residential in Mount Isa and working day shift only, 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, 2 days off. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Active participation in crew deployment meetings Completed Work Orders to the required standard & re-order parts or consumables Conformance with the Glencore Corporate Practice & Glencore Code of Conduct Assist with updating of Schematics / SWI’s / Procedures / etc Inspection of equipment for proper functioning & compliance Performing planned and shutdown work consistent with the duties of a boilermaker Supporting improvement projects that aim to reduce unplanned stoppages Maintaining and improving OH&S and overall operational standards in the workplace. The successful candidate will possess: Trade qualified Boilermaker 5 years’ experience within the trade is preferred An Overall Mechanical Aptitude, ability to carry out basic mechanical tasks High risk work licence, Working at Heights and Confined Space is an advantage Excellent troubleshooting & problem-solving skills Flexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detail Good time management skills and able to work well under pressure Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment Good communication skills Willingness and ability to learn new processes Hold a current Australian Manual Drivers Licence Experience in SAP would be an advantage or similar system.
