Your new role Based in the lower Hunter Valley, the Engineering Manager is a member of the Site Leadership team and drives key strategic activities to achieve site objectives for maintenance, Good Manufacturing Practice, maintenance, production targets, supply and continuous improvement outcomes. Your responsibilities will include: Leading all engineering, maintenance and utility operations at site including capital planning and execution. Oversee equipment and maintenance reliability and process automation. Developing and implementing plant maintenance policies and procedures for equipment and facilities Development and implementation of an effective reliability maintenance program to ensure the high availability of critical equipment. Manage the operation of utilities, including wastewater treatment, to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations in compliance with regulations Ensure facilities, equipment and maintenance activities are fully compliant with GMP, Zoetis Quality Systems, EHS, SOPs and EHS regulations Promote the use of operational excellence tools to ensure competitive advantages in the industry Develop the engineering teams capabilities, including the support of individual development plans and on-the-job training for staff Provide support and on-site leadership for colleagues reporting in to the Global Manufacturing Technology function Prepare department budgets and control engineering expenditures within the approved budget Providing support for technical projects including continuous improvement What you'll need to succeed Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent DegreeA minimum of 10 years professional experience in a manufacturing environment and engineering team leadership, preferably in a pharma, medical or food environmentA solid knowledge of Good Manufacturing PracticeThe ability to encourage team collaboration and to build effective partnerships both internally and externallyYou will be highly organised and be able to balance responsibilities and prioritise competing projectsYou will possess excellent decision-making and communications skills and be able to effectively convey information to teamsBe able to develop teams, empower people and instil a culture of operational excellencePossess Project Engineering and Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment What you'll get in return This is a role that will reward you with the opportunity to work operationally and strategically and one where your expert knowledge will be valued.
