The position plays an important role in engaging with consumers and community to maintain relations, collect and evaluate feedback and implement change to improve experience.The position is based in the SWSLHD Aboriginal Health Unit (AHU) and will work closely with the Director of Aboriginal Health and the small but dynamic AHU Team to support the governance and operational functions of the SWSLHD Aboriginal Health Service.What You'll be DoingThe position is responsible for leading service development and quality improvement activities across the SWSLHD Aboriginal Health portfolio. The role will be responsible for supporting SWSLHD Facilities and Services to meet the Aboriginal Health accreditation standards and ensuring the provision of culturally responsive care. The position will play a key role in coordinating the collection and analysis of Aboriginal specific data collected within and beyond the Hospital setting and supporting research and evaluation initiatives.Where You'll Be WorkingSWSLHD operates its services on the lands of the Dharawal, Darug and Gundungurra lands and has a rich history of working alongside local Aboriginal communities. SWSLHD has long established partnerships with Aboriginal Organisations in our region that are critical to the way we operate and deliver our services.The Project Officer will be based at Liverpool Hospital in the AHU but will be working across the region with internal and external stakeholders. The Project Officer will be part of the Aboriginal Health Leadership Team that includes the Aboriginal Managers from across a range of services.
