Your Impact as a Regional Manager, Health, Safety, Environment & Quality: We are seeking people for our team who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are ready to grow with the company, and willing to demonstrate deep ownership of their work, as Energy Vault continue to deploy the most reliable, sustainable, and cost-effective Energy Storage Solutions. As Regional Manager HSEQ, you will report to the Director of Commissioning & Construction Operations, with support from the Global Safety and Quality teams, and be responsible for driving the culture around safety and quality management systems, and the health and environment policies and plans across the Asia Pacific Region.
Your Mission:
1. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining all HSEQ policies and procedures for the deployment of Projects and Services across APAC, in line with Energy Vaults Systems and ISO Certifications.
2. You will be responsible for monitoring and managing Project and Service’s sites, and ensuring that all employees, contractors and visitors adhere to all Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Policies, Plans and Procedures. This will include EPC contractor’s and subcontractor’s HSEQ programs within the contracts.
3. You will participate and act as Energy Vault’s representative in interfacing with the EPC contractor and subcontractors to confirm the contracts are being executed to the required standards and quality as provided in the specifications, scope, and construction documents.
4. You will also collaborate regularly with your technical colleagues at Energy Vault to understand our energy storage systems and requirements and to review safety and quality standards in product development. Serve as a proactive team member for the elimination of risks in design and production where possible, including constructability.
5. Provide company HSEQ Controls to the EPC contractor and subcontractors for adherence to contract terms and conditions, agreed costs and schedule, regulatory codes and standards and project design basis, that provide safe, reliable, optimized constructability, and cost effectiveness to build, operate and maintain the facility.
6. Communicate and engage people, at all levels and roles in HSEQ. Develop and conduct trainings on a variety of topics related to HSEQ programs, initiatives, and awareness for both regional and global teams.
7. Lead activities related to achieving or maintaining ISO or other certifications.
8. Participate in Safety Committees
9. Develop and update/maintain written HSEQ Plans, ensuring contractor’s and subcontractor’s adherence to agreed HSEQ requirements in quality of goods and services, preservation plan, scope, and contract terms and conditions; this Plan will be in accordance with company guidelines and internal controls that support regulatory codes and standards.
10. Provide company controls and strict discipline to the Quality Assurance and Quality Control program that support Change Order Management, and approvals to these processes for both company representative’s requests, the EPC contractor, and subcontractors.
11. Perform site inspections in conjunction with project and service managers. Identify non-compliance issues and proactively work with teams to recommend/implement corrective actions on potential HSEQ hazards.
12. Conduct or oversee the investigation of work-related incidents, ensures complete reporting and recommendations for remedial action.
13. Prepare and maintain budgets related to HSEQ initiatives.
14. Maintain a system of record for HSEQ initiatives.

Your Background:
16. 15+ years of experience, including as a Manager, HSEQ or related responsibilities in large construction projects within the energy industry.
17. Bachelor’s degree and Certificate of Competency in Health, Safety, Environment & Quality or equivalent.
18. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with key stakeholders, including C Suite, ability to develop relationships across all areas of the business.
19. Advanced level of safety awareness and knowledge of applicable HSEQ regulations, including OFSC.
20. Proficient in common computer software including Microsoft Office.
21. Comfort in fast-paced, rapid growth environments with tight deadlines and high pressure environments.
22. Experience in matrix organizations in Power, Energy storage and / or Renewables.
23. Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally, up to 30%.
