The role will provide the successful applicant with exposure to small and large projects across various industries including food & beverage, agriculture, and manufacturing. You will be a key leader ensuring our busy workshop operates efficiently and meets the highest quality of standards.
The role:
* Plan & coordinate the daily workflow activities both in the workshop and onsite.
* Manage daily operations, people management, scheduling, timesheets, materials, and job tracking.
* Minimum 5 years full-time experience in the engineering industry.
* Permanent full-time role.
* Sound knowledge and understanding of Australian Design and Fabrication standards, WHS, and QA.
* Mentor and motivate the team, promoting excellence and efficiency.
* Report directly to the General Manager.
The Successful applicant:
* Must have the legal right to work in Australia.
* Trade Qualification (Metal Fabrication and Welding) with significant experience (minimum 5 years).
* Supervision experience within a diverse fabrication workshop.
* Computer literacy: Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs.
* Strong written & communication skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to read, understand, and convey instructions from complex drawings and diagrams.
* Work effectively within a team in a dynamic and responsive environment.
