Water Monitoring Officer / Hydrographer (12 Month Term, Full Time) - TamworthReady to make a splash in your career?WaterNSW is seeking an experienced Water Monitoring Officer (Full Time, 12-Month Term) to join our team in Tamworth.This is an opportunity to work with an essential organisation creating a more sustainable future for the state.This role offers the flexibility to work around life; your contribution will be valued, and you'll be supported to build a rewarding career.At WaterNSW, we believe that our employees should be as well taken care of as our rivers, dams, and pipelines; that's why we offer a load of benefits:Up to 16 weeks paid parental leaveFertility leaveYearly corporate wear allowanceProfessional development and educational assistanceSalary range from: $95,764.00 Base + SuperAnd so much more!What you'll do: Collect, process and manage Hydrometric surface water, groundwater and water quality monitoring data from a large remote monitoring network.Collect water quality samples as requested by internal or external stakeholders within assigned sites and in accordance with quality guidelines and relevant procedures.Install, manage and maintain monitoring equipment and infrastructure to prescribed standards.Report on the performance of water monitoring sites from telemetered/non-telemetered datasets and seek instrumentation advice to identify/resolve issues.A willingness to travel overnight to remote/isolated locations throughout NSW.Contribute to continual improvement of the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance systems, audit programs and development of work instructions and procedures.What we are looking for: Undergraduate degree or Diploma of Water Industry Operations, Science, Engineering, Asset Management, or equivalent experience in an appropriate field.Competent knowledge and use of various tools including battery operated tools and general tools used in the construction industry.Awareness of and interest in natural resource management, particularly water.Computer literacy and ability to interpret data, work with specialist databases and monitor network performance.Current NSW Drivers Licence.Desirable: Experience using Hydstra database, strong swimming ability, Boat License, ability to row a boat/kayak, work at heights, heavy lifting, and ability in driving four-wheel drive vehicles. #J-18808-Ljbffr
