The Sydney Opera House is a world-famous landmark that welcomes millions of visitors from all over the world every year. It hosts world-class performances, spectacular events, and amazing dining experiences.
The Role
We are seeking a Pastry Chef to join our team at one of our iconic venues in Sydney.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and execute creative, seasonal, and innovative pastry menus that align with the venue's vision.
* Prepare high-quality pastries, desserts, bread, and other baked goods to meet daily service and event demands.
* Contribute to the savoury side of the kitchen as needed.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' pastry experience in a similar environment.
* Ability to work 5 days across a 7-day operation.
* Loves desserts and modern pastry.
* Prepared to work in multiple outlets, including restaurant service and events.
* Easy access to public transport for occasional early starts and late finishes.
* Positive leadership skills with the ability to lead by example.
* Sound knowledge of OH&S, HACCP, par levels, stock control, ordering, and stock taking.
