The role will complete and maintain records that demonstrate that processes are carried out and verified according to project documentation. The role may be required to carry out duties of a Road Worker Grade 3 as required.The Works Assistant Grade 3 - PQR will also be responsible for:Checking work activities are completed to quality specifications by following established procedures, performing measurements to confirm quality both during and on completion of work, comparing results to engineering plans and contract requirements, and completing required records.Solving routine problems that arise, referring to standard guidelines and manuals, and collaborating with supervisors and managers to resolve complex problems to minimise risks and achieve work goals.Working under limited supervision either in a team environment or working independently, performing a wide range of advanced non-trades functions which have been acquired through experience or formal training to specified standards and tolerances.Understanding and maintaining knowledge of WHS legislation, policies and procedures, assessing and controlling risks, records management and industry requirements to minimise risk and model safe work behaviour.This is an ongoing full-time role located at Albion Park. TfNSW takes the WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously; therefore, to be eligible for this role, it is a requirement that you must reside within a 70km distance from Albion Park depot.Click here to view the role description.About you You hold a current Construction Industry White Card and a current unrestricted NSW Motor Vehicle driver's licence. Traffic Controllers Tickets (Blue and Yellow Tickets) will be highly regarded.You are passionate about safety and quality assurance, with an understanding of work procedures and guidelines and possess an attention to detail that is dedicated to the success of our final product.You have a thorough understanding of road construction and associated infrastructure.You are a process-focused individual who enjoys working flexibly across tasks as this role has multiple facets to it. You will be a skilled communicator who has experience in developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders and working in an onsite team environment as well as being able to work autonomously.You are a self-starter and can plan and organise your work in a fast-paced environment and complete a variety of tasks including checking safety and quality, entering information into systems and undertaking a range of other administrative processes.This position would be best suited to someone who is willing to live away from home, work day and night shifts, and overtime when required.Who we are: Transport for NSW provides a safe, integrated, and efficient transport system.
