About the role:
Home Care Workers provide direct care and domestic assistance duties, as well as social support and transport as required for clients.
These roles will see you supporting clients in Wangaratta, Wodonga, Benalla, Yarrawonga and surrounding communities. You will:
* Ensure that client’s rights, cultural, spiritual and other individual needs are incorporated in all aspects of care and daily living
* Work within a multidisciplinary team, provide effective support to clients, recognise changes in clients’ conditions and escalate observations and concerns in accordance with Uniting AgeWell processes
* Promote and participate in quality activities, and provide outstanding customer service maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with clients, their relatives and friends
* Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise
* Must have your own car (registered in your own name), valid insurance and a current Victorian driver's licence
* Unqualified entry jobs available
About you:
You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents/clients, enhancing their self-esteem and empowering them to make choices.
This is the place for you if you have:
* Certificate III/IV or equivalent in Individual Support (Aged or Disability) or equivalent (or currently studying a Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing)
* Current First Aid and CPR certificates - or willing to obtain
* Current and valid Victorian Driver's Licence
* Experience in a home care setting or providing domestics support is desirable
* Knowledge in community care with a commitment to high standards of care for clients and their families
* Understanding of client directed care
* Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions

Essentials for working in Aged Care:
* A current Working With Children Check card
* Current and ongoing mandatory vaccinations
* Australian working rights
* Ability to pass a national police clearance OR NDIS Clearance
