About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our Redcliffe, Queensland team as a Trade Assistant/Apprentice. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity working a 38-hour week over 4 days, Monday to Thursday.
Duties include:
To carry out any general duties such as washing and cleaning aircraft, maintaining consumable levels within the Hangar and yard duties as required.
To identify any potential hazards and notify the Head of Maintenance / Maintenance Supervisor.
To maintain high standards of discipline, organisation, and housekeeping.
Ensure Daily tasks are completed as directed by LAMEs and Maintenance Supervisor.
Ensure assigned tasks are carried out to the highest possible standard in compliance with company policies and procedures and Civil Aviation Regulations.
Facility issues are reported at the time of discovery to the Coordinating LAME or Maintenance Supervisor.
Communicating & leading process improvements activities.
Cleaning equipment when required.
Assist with Green and Red Tagging, servicing, repairs, and general maintenance to your appropriate skill level.
Assist tradesman as required.
Deliver, collect, or relocate equipment.
Keep working area in a clean, safe and tidy state.
Carry out general maintenance and damage repairs to equipment.
Ensure a tidy working area, including yard, wash bay, and emptying bins.
Ensure maintenance performed on assigned aircraft tasks is conducted in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Actively participate in the company WH & S program.
Actively participate in the company safety management system.
Advise the Coordinating LAME of any defects or issues found when performing assigned tasks.
Provide regular feedback to the Coordinating LAME and/or Maintenance Supervisor on progress of assigned tasks.
Demonstrate good judgement and efficiency in the use of company resources.
Ensuring personal conduct is in line with the Employee Handbook and Employee Code of Conduct & Business Ethics.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess the following:
Studied curriculum that aligns with the requirements to gain knowledge of aircraft maintenance.
Basic understanding of Aviation regulatory requirements for Aircraft maintenance.
Computer literate at a basic level in Microsoft.
