About the Role
Hastings Deering is on the hunt for a Foreman to join our Mackay Mine shop in Mackay. This is a Permanent, Monday to Friday role with an opportunity for a 9 day fortnight.
As a Foreman, you will:
* Provide leadership, guidance and coaching to team members.
* Ensure safety standards are maintained.
* Determine target hours for work required and communicate with team members.
* Answer all service enquires and calls for the Mackay Mine shop.
* Provide after hour’s callout assistance.
* Organise parts, labor, accommodation & tooling to conduct repairs.
* Assist Technicians within depth diagnostic and Failure Analysis.
* Participate and contribute to Continuous improvement ideas and execution of these ideas.
* Manage changes to schedule and fitter availability when unforeseen absences present.
* Work collaboratively with other Foremen and service teams across Mackay to ensure that all customer needs are met.

About You
A successful teammate will have experience in:
* Trade qualified Diesel Fitter with significant post trade experience.
* Experience in similar role within the mining, mining services and heavy earthmoving industries.
* Proven and demonstrated experience in mechanical diagnostic skills.
* Leadership and Supervisory experience with a proven ability to maximise productivity.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal.
* Well-developed planning, time management and scheduling skills and a strong attention to detail.
* Proven computer skills with experience in AX highly regarded.
