We are currently seeking Field Officers for an immediate start to join our New Bush Regeneration team in the Wagga region. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals passionate about environmental conservation, weed control, and land regeneration, ready to contribute to high-impact restoration projects in the area.
Role Overview
As a Field Officer, your primary focus will be bush regeneration and weed control across two project sites in Wagga Wagga and Albury. The role involves:
1. Targeted weed control, including chemical application (spraying) and manual removal of invasive species.
2. Site assessments and mapping to track project progress and ecological recovery.
3. Current projects focus on controlling invasive weeds and assisting native vegetation communities to regenerate while providing a safe and practical environment for our client.
Role Conditions
Monday to Friday role.
Living Away from Home Allowance (LAFHA) and accommodation provided.
Training and Phone Allowances.

Key Responsibilities
1. Weed Control: Using chemical application (spraying) and manual removal to target invasive species.
2. Monitoring & Data Collection: Using GPS tracking to record weed treatment progress and restoration efforts.
3. Site Mapping & Assessment: Assisting in environmental mapping and evaluating site conditions.
4. Health, Safety & Equipment Use: Safely handling chemicals and tools, adhering to WHS policies, and ensuring proper equipment maintenance.
Requirements
This position offers on-the-job training, but previous experience in bush regeneration, weed spraying, or land management is highly desirable.
Ideally, candidates will have or be willing to obtain:
1. ChemCert AQF3 Chemical Certificate - Preferred (or willingness to obtain).
2. Experience in weed spraying and manual weed removal.
3. Ability to pass a Police Check.
4. Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol tests.
5. Physically fit for fieldwork.
6. Current Driver’s Licence.
7. OHS White Card.
8. Basic computer skills for inductions.
