Reporting to the Drill & Blast Superintendent, you will be responsible for drill and blast activities across the Iron Bridge mine site.
You will provide leadership to site personnel and will strive to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement drill and blast plans to optimise ore extraction, ensuring alignment with production schedules and goals.Ensure all drilling and blasting activities comply with safety regulations and Fortescue policies, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.Lead and supervise the drill and blast team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to maintain high levels of productivity and morale.Qualifications and ExperienceAt least 2 years leadership experience with a strong safety focus.Considerable mining experience with relevant experience.Ability to operate a variety of Drill Rigs including Epiroc D65, Cat MD6310 desired.Experience in Flanders or similar Autonomous Drill operation desired.Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor personnel.About UsBe part of something big.
