This role leads, mentors, and develops the sales and support team members, ensuring performance accountability and continuous improvement. Additionally, the ASM gathers market intelligence, monitors competition and regulatory trends, and manages a team of 5 to optimize market coverage. Financial responsibilities include budgeting, performance tracking, forecasting, and implementing corrective actions to meet business objectives. Strong customer and team relationship management is essential, with a focus on exceeding expectations, and aligning sales and marketing efforts to maximize impact.This role is part of the Sales Management Department in Australia, with flexibility on location.In this role, a typical day will look like:Team Leadership & Coaching – Conduct one-on-one check-ins, review sales pipelines, and provide guidance to support and develop the team.Market & Business Analysis – Analyze sales data, track performance against targets, and identify opportunities for growth or competitive threats.Strategy & Planning – Work on regional sales strategies, pricing decisions, and action plans to improve revenue and market presence.Internal Collaboration & Reporting – Align with cross-functional teams (marketing, service, and operations), prepare forecasts, and report progress to senior leadership.CRM Management & Reporting – Lead and manage CRM reporting and maintenance, updating pipeline progress to ensure accurate forecasting and business planning.The essential requirements of the job include:Sales & Business Development Experience – Minimum 5 years in sales management within a scientific, industrial, or capital equipment environment, with a proven track record of achieving revenue targets.Technical Knowledge – Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related scientific/engineering discipline, with an understanding of water quality solutions.
