THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a Picker/Packer - Shed Hand (full time) to join our Team.
The Shed Hand position will provide support to the warehouse department of Woodhouse Timber Company.
Processing lightweight pre-finished products in an easy and clean warehouse picking environment.
Shed Hands conduct simple aisle picking while working in pairs, processing small order picking with an Early start - Early finish.
This role places a strong focus on contributing to our vision of being fast, flexible and frequent .
A reasonable level of fitness is required as this role requires repetitive twisting, bending, lifting, stretching and manual handling.
You will report directly to the warehouse supervisor.
Applicants with warehouse pick & pack experience are encouraged to apply, and applicants with a Forklift Licence will be highly regarded.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Uphold and abide by Woodhouse Timber's safety management system; Pick, strap and wrap lightweight pre-finished timber orders in a timely, efficient manner working in pairs; Clearly be able to read and understand customer orders; Have legible/reasonable handwriting; Keep your designated work area clean and tidy; Assist in cleaning communal areas; Follow stock procedures as directed by the warehouse supervisor; and Undertake additional duties as and when required by your warehouse supervisor or management.

Must possess a great work ethic and willingness to work in a team environment; Ability to make sound decisions; and Ability to work autonomously.
HIGHLY REGARDED
Prior experience in order picking; Previous experience with manual handling roles; and RF scanning experience.
