Your new career opportunity: Civil & Structural EngineerPermanent, full-time position9-day fortnight rosterResidential position in the close-knit community of Gladstone, nestled among iconic natural landmarksAdvance financially with company benefits, including relocation assistance for domestic moves and subsidised private health insuranceAbout your roleAs the Civil & Structural Engineer, you will take the lead in directing and coordinating technical support, providing expert advice, and delivering solutions across the plant, with a focus on, but not limited to civil and structural engineering.Key Responsibilities:Lead the production of detailed design deliverables, maintaining a high standard of quality and ensuring timely approvals.Consistently complete tasks and projects on schedule, demonstrating strong time management and the ability to prioritise effectively.Oversee the development, review, and approval of key project documentation, including scope of work, datasheets, and baseline documents.Collaborate with external parties such as ESPs, vendors, and construction contractors to manage interfaces and ensure smooth project execution.Perform technical verification of project deliverables produced by other engineers and disciplines, contributing your expertise to the overall project.Support project leaders and specialists in continuous improvement activities, such as internal workshops and project gate reviews.Create, review, and verify calculations, equipment specifications, and vendor submissions.Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes and design practices.Address queries from site construction and commissioning teams, ensuring clarity and resolution.Design civil and structural installations in compliance with Australian standards, QLD regulations, and legal requirements.Demonstrate strong safety leadership and ensure team compliance with all relevant policies, standards, and procedures.Optimise resources and drive initiatives to minimise costs, reduce waste, and achieve efficiency in project execution.What you will bring to the Role:Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering.Experience with SapceGass software is advantageous.Proven expertise in developing, implementing, and continuously improving plant engineering systems and processes that enhance business performance (preferably in minerals refining).Strong problem-solving abilities with a track record of managing multiple tasks effectively.An eye for detail and the ability to prioritise work effectively.Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.RPEQ or CPEng registration (current or eligibility) is highly desirable.Where you will be workingGladstone is a dynamic coastal town in central Queensland, with a population of approximately 64,000, and is the gateway to the breathtaking Southern Great Barrier Reef.
