We are on the lookout for a Junior Risk Analyst to join our Risk Investigations team.
This role plays a pivotal part in investigating and preventing fraudulent activities on the Betfair Exchange, identifying key business risks through customer account analysis, and ensuring fairness and integrity within our betting markets.

Requirements What you will bring: Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in a similar analytical or investigative role.
Proven data analysis skills with strong attention to detail.
Solid Microsoft Excel and/or SQL skills, with a willingness to further develop technical expertise.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings in concise reports.
Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, team-player attitude.
Experience in investigations, fraud prevention, or open-source research (preferred but not essential).
Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends.

Some tasks include, but are not limited to: Monitor customer transactions in real-time to identify and prevent fraudulent activities.
Analyse large data sets to detect suspicious activity, preparing detailed reports for internal and external use.
Ensure compliance with Betfair's terms and conditions and undertake chargeback investigation and reconciliation for fraudulent transactions.
Stay updated on global fraud trends and payment risks.
Compile reports and data for sports and racing partners per product agreements.
Assist law enforcement and intelligence agencies with information requests.
Analyse customer transactional data and identify key business risks.
Perform external research to assess customer risk profiles.
Conduct Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD) reviews for high-risk customers.
